Biography

Dr. Ibrahim EL Demirdash Founded LUX Finishing in 2019. It is a contracting firm that specialises in fine finishing services as well as construction work. He has completed multiple contracting projects since 2016 prior to establishing LUX. He is also a Managing Partner in Consulting Engineering Bureau and Laboratories (CEL), a multidisciplinary engineering office that provides various and diverse engineering consulting services. In addition to that, he is the Head of Business Development for DUCO, an agency that creates a platform dedicated to the Facilitation and Promotion of public art in an urban context. Prior to that he was the Lead Structural Engineer at Titan Atlas Global (TAG), a company based in United States of America that uses innovative building technologies in construction.

He holds a Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D) degree in Structural Engineering from the University of California Irvine (UCI) which he was awarded in 2013 with the Dissertation Title " Structural Evaluation of Sustainable Orthotropic Three - Dimensional Sandwich Panel System". He was also awarded a Master of Science (MSc) degree from Loughborough University in 2008 with the Dissertation Title " Collaboration in the Construction Industry". Prior to that he received his Bachelor's Degree (BSc) in Structural Engineering from the Faculty of Cairo University.
